3 reasons why you need a website by studio break the loop

Three reasons why your business needs a website.

I mean, I could give you way more than 3 reasons why you need a website (like, ASAP) but in the interest of brevity – 3 will do for now…

One – Having a website means that people will actually be able to find you online.

Every single day people all over the world sit at their screens and Google search the perfect person to spend their hard-earned money with, they’re looking for exactly what you’re selling, right? Well, if you haven’t got a website then thank you for playing but you won’t be popping up in that list of relevant people. Essentially that translates to thousands of missed opportunities to put yourself in front of your dream client.

Two – Your website will work whilst you’re sleeping.

You’re not likely to be online for 24 hours a day… however, your website will be. I don’t know about you but I love a bit of late-night online shopping and if I was confined to only purchasing things during business hours, there’s a good chance that I’ll get distracted and forget or just look elsewhere.

A website means that you can serve your dream clients or customers all day and all night.

Three – No one can take your website away from you.

I know this sounds like the start of some soppy power ballad but hear me out… You own your website, not Zuckerberg or his cronies, you. Meaning that unless you forget to take care of basic site maintenance, hosting etc (set reminders or set everything to auto-renew – thank me later!) then no one can shut down your site, apart from you. Social media, however, is a totally different ball game – sure, it’s here today but it really could be gone tomorrow and that is one of the biggest reasons why you need a website. I’ve seen massive accounts get hacked and never be restored and let’s not forget what happened to MySpace…

If either of those things happens and you don’t have a website it’s buh bye business. Not cool.

(At the very least you need a landing page with a bit of info and an email list – whatever you do make sure you have a way of reaching people if you suddenly didn’t have access to social media.)
